Glenmar Shellfish has been serving the Export fishing industry for now over thirty years, and over the last three years particularly Glenmar Shellfish has modernized its approach towards the buying, production and selling to adjust to the rapidly changing face of the fishing industry.

There has been an ambitious move by Glenmar to maximise the quality of the seafood product, investing in new product range of Prawn, Monk and Squid for freezing on board of the vessels . The result has been outstanding, a premium product frozen and graded on board within 20 minutes of catch , putting a whole new meaning to live frozen products .

Glenmar is proud to have 13 factory vessels landing Premium Frozen at Sea product to us , fishing in the Porcupine Bank, South Irish Sea and North Irish Sea. Thanks to this sustainable production line at Sea, by cutting in packaging, emissions and water, Glenmar gained the Origin Green Certification and the Bord Bia Export Award in 2013.

Glenmar is now responsible for servicing, handling and processing of 100 vessels directly, investing heavily in advanced technology process, to enable us produce with guaranteed freshness, premium presentation, and exceptional quality.

At Glenmar Shellfish we produce, market and export a range of premium Cooked seafood products renowned throughout mainland Europe and Scandinavia. Our Cooked Seafood factory, has been producing quality seafood products for more than sixty years in the small village of Curraglass in the heart of the Blackwater valley, Ireland. Our long established relationships with fishermen and staff ensure that our customers get only the finest quality of Brown Crab and Mussel

All our Land Frozen seafood products are processed under EU, FDA, BRC and HACCP approved facilities. This allows us to maintain exceptional quality assurance across all our seafood range of Prawns, Brown Crab, Scallop, Razor Clams, Lobster, Squid, White Fish, that we can confidently pass on to our customers.

Glenmar shellfish produces BRC Dry and Glazed hand peeled Scampi Meat to the highest exacting standards , without chemicals added phosphates ideally suitable for the gourmet onward processing .

Glenmar Shellfish recently opened 2 processing and distributing centre at 26 and 29 Millenium Business Park , Dublin . The proximity of this unit to Dublin Port, and International Airport, has given us the opportunity to export high volume daily basis Frozen, Live and Fresh Seafood Products .

Our Live & Fresh Product range includes all types White Fish and Live Shellfish , being shipped daily into the global markets, as well as supply premium products into Dublin, servicing some of the top Ireland Hotels & Restaurants with our own fleet of vans delivering.

Along with this, Glenmar Shellfish has offices in South Africa supplying a wide range of Frozen & Live products worldwide, including Live Abalone & Rock Lobster, Frozen Hake fillets, Frozen at sea Lobster and squid , Frozen at sea Monk fish tails, John Dory fillets, Ray, Pink Prawn. As well as domestic South African distribution.
